Creating Valuable Products for Students

Where: Chegg

Challenge: Create new products that High School students find useful, fun and engaging.

Objective: Discover what problems and challenges and solve them for HS students, so they begin using Chegg even before they are in College.

Result: High School students were under served by guidance counselors and needed help identifying colleges and scholarships. They also wanted a more creative way to search for colleges and scholarships. By the end of the project, we had a redesigned website and mobile experience to better serve students with easy to use college and scholarship matching, as well as fun mobile experiences.

Work performed: Participatory design, product conceptualization, UI/UX design, visual design, prototyping and user research.

Awards: Chegg was an honoree for FastCo’s Most Innovative Companies in 2012 for the Education Category.
